Davidson Cyber Defense ("DCD," "we," "us," or "our"), a division of Davidson Avionics, LLC, builds its practice on protecting sensitive information — so we hold our own data handling to the same standard. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to davidsoncyberdefense.com and our related intake channels. It does not govern the separate, contract-bound handling of client information delivered under a signed engagement, which is addressed in your services agreement and any applicable nondisclosure agreement.
Information you provide. When you submit our intake form, book a meeting, or email us, you may provide your name, company, job title, phone number, email address, and the details you choose to share about your compliance needs. Provide only what you're comfortable sharing — please do not transmit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), classified material, export-controlled technical data, or other regulated information through the website. Sensitive material is exchanged only after an engagement and through appropriately secured channels.
Information collected automatically. Like virtually every modern website, our infrastructure logs limited technical data when you visit — IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. This data supports security, abuse prevention, and basic performance, and is generally retained only as long as needed for those purposes.
Cookies and similar technologies. We do not run advertising networks, behavioral ad trackers, or cross-site profiling on this site. Our content delivery and security provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly functional and security cookies — for example, to distinguish humans from bots and to maintain security protections. These are used to keep the site available and secure, not to build a marketing profile of you. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; blocking strictly functional cookies may affect site performance.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell your personal information.
We keep our stack deliberately lean. We share limited information only with the service providers that operate this site and our intake, and only so they can perform those functions for us. Each maintains its own privacy practices:
| Provider | Function | What it may process |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | CDN, DNS, WAF, DDoS protection, TLS | Connection data, IP, security/functional cookies |
| GitHub Pages | Static website hosting | Server request logs (IP, user agent) |
| Formspree | Intake form processing & delivery | The form fields you submit |
| Calendly | Meeting scheduling | Name, email, and scheduling details you enter |
Cloudflare is a U.S.-based provider that participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and does not sell the data it processes on our behalf. We may also disclose information where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DCD, our clients, or the public.
We apply reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational safeguards consistent with the controls we help our own clients implement — including encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege principles, and hardened configurations. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but security is engineered into how we operate rather than bolted on.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to maintain business records, and to meet legal or contractual obligations — after which it is deleted or de-identified. You may request deletion as described below.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and request a copy, to request correction or deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You may exercise these rights free from discrimination.
EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR). Where applicable, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the Opt-Out section below. We will verify and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Because of the nature of our work, we treat all non-public client information as confidential. Information exchanged during an engagement is governed by your services agreement and any nondisclosure agreement, handled on a need-to-know basis, and — where the engagement involves CUI or export-controlled data — safeguarded in accordance with the applicable requirements of NIST SP 800-171, DFARS 252.204-7012, and ITAR/EAR as relevant to the work.
This website and our services are directed to businesses and professionals, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
DCD operates in the United States, and our information is processed in the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed here.
We may update this Policy as our practices, technology, or legal obligations evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
